Using ELEESA Hub
ELEESA Hub is provided as a digital home for eligible students of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Students' Association at the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa. By accessing the site or portal, you agree to use it responsibly and only for academic, departmental, association, and approved student-support purposes.
Eligibility and accounts
Student portal access is intended for eligible ELEESA students and may require Google sign-in with an approved university email address. ELEESA Hub may deny, suspend, or remove access if an account appears ineligible, misused, compromised, or harmful to the community.
Acceptable use
You may not use ELEESA Hub to upload or share unlawful, misleading, abusive, unsafe, spammy, or exam-malpractice content. You may not attempt to bypass access controls, scrape private content, disrupt the service, impersonate another person, or publish materials you do not have permission to share.
Academic materials and announcements
Course materials, timetables, announcements, events, opportunities, and quiz content are provided to help students learn and stay informed. Content may be updated, corrected, hidden, or removed when needed to keep the platform accurate and trustworthy.
Student-submitted content
If you submit materials, corrections, feedback, ads, or other content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it can be reviewed, edited for clarity, approved, rejected, published, or archived by authorized ELEESA Hub administrators.
Sponsored content
Advertisements and trusted partner promotions, if enabled, must be reviewed before publication and must be clearly labelled. ELEESA Hub may reject or remove promotions that are misleading, unsafe, irrelevant, or damaging to student trust.
No guarantee of uninterrupted service
ELEESA Hub aims to be reliable, but access may occasionally be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable due to maintenance, network issues, service providers, or technical problems. Important academic decisions should still be verified with official department or association channels where required.

ELEESA Hub collects and uses information to verify eligibility, personalize academic content, keep the platform secure, improve student support, and maintain trustworthy records for the association.
Information we may collect
Information may include your name, university email address, profile details such as programme and level, sign-in status, role or permissions, content submissions, quiz and learning activity, saved resources, feedback, support requests, and basic usage or device information needed to operate the service.
How information is used
Information is used to confirm student access, show relevant announcements and resources, protect the platform, support admin review workflows, improve features, troubleshoot issues, and preserve academic or association records where appropriate.
Sharing and visibility
Private student activity is not meant to be public. Authorized administrators may access information when needed to operate, moderate, secure, or improve the platform. Public announcements, approved events, opportunities, and sponsored notices may be visible outside the student portal when intended for public sharing.
Third-party services
ELEESA Hub may rely on trusted service providers for authentication, hosting, databases, file storage, realtime updates, analytics, and delivery infrastructure. These providers process information only as needed to help run the platform.
Data care and security
ELEESA Hub should use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, including controlled access, role-based permissions, secure sign-in, audit records for sensitive admin actions, and protected file storage where appropriate. No online system can promise perfect security.
Retention and updates
Records may be kept while they remain useful for academic continuity, audits, student support, security, or association handover. Policies may be updated as ELEESA Hub grows, especially when new features such as ads, analytics, offline access, or mobile apps are introduced.
